Josephine, founder of KLAD, started the business with a vision of highlighting everyone’s beauty with the right accessories. She would sketch and design accessories on magazine models until she started to personally hand made her jewelries.

1986 – Passionately Handmade.
Everything started when Ms. Tan started to craft handmade jewelries to leading department stores like Rempson, SM Department Stores, and Isetann malls. Much to her surprise, these handmade jewelries caught the attention of the customers and became an instant sold out!
1988 – Star of the Bazaars.
With passion and experience in the craft, Ms. Tan started to sell personalized jewelries in bazaars.
1991- Permanent Mall Space.
Started her own boutique in Ali Mall. Loyal customers subscribe to the styles from KLAD.
1996 – Unparalleled Quality.
Quick expansion came after the success of the first branch. Business giant, SM, saw the potential of the affordable, yet uncompromised quality of the jewelries and offered space in their stores.
